Nathan's Gifts

I think that hearing and seeing your child's name is special... even more so when they aren't here. I know that I'll never see Nathan's name on a birth certificate, a Kindergarten registration, a driver's license, a high school diploma or a marriage license. Therefore, seeing his name in whatever way... is special to me.

Here are some gifts that have been made and/or given to us...

I feel horrible but I can't remember where I got this from.
If you know, please let me know so that I can give credit.

This picture was taken by my friend, Nika. She made butterflies for the October 11th remembrance
and included Nathan. She and Bryan drove up to Mt. Erie (Fidalgo Island in WA)
and did a balloon release with the butterflies inside the balloons.
To see the beautiful pictures of the release, click here.

This picture was taken by my friend, Nika. While on Christmas vacation (2011),
she took a moment to include Nathan in her "names in the sand" picture.

Nathan's Christmas tree was drawn by CarlyMarie at ProjectHeal on Christian's Beach.
It was drawn on the beach at Mullaloo Point in Western Australia for his first Christmas in 2011.
He would have been 4 days old, had he made it to term.

Made by Kerin at I Am A Mother To An Angel (IAAMTAA) for Christmas 2011
Nathan's Sunset Butterfly was made in January 2012 by CarlyMarie at ProjectHeal
on Christian's Beach. It was drawn on the beach at Mullaloo Point in Western Australia.

Made by Noel at Rockin' With Wild
(I can't find them on Facebook anymore. If I find a new site/page, I'll link it here and give credit.)

Made by Kerin at I Am A Mother To An Angel (IAAMTAA) for Easter 2012

This picture was taken in June 2012 at Myrtle Beach, SC by my friend, Marjorie.
While on vacation, she drew Nathan's name in the sand and texted it to me.

A card and hat made for Nathan by the wonderful people at Calvin's Hats. They make and mail (free of charge) hats to people who are losing or have lost a baby. The hats are made to fit the baby, based on actual weight or gestation. I placed Nathan's hat on a egg (to show how tiny he was) and placed it
beside his big brother's newborn hat. I plan to put them in a shadow box together. If you are interested in donating materials or would like to make hats to donate, click here for more information.

This was made by me using the graphics from You are my Child's website.
It was made for Nathan's 1st Birthday - July 21, 2012.
